Chris speaks at WordSesh: Saturday Dec. 7 at 8am EST (13:00 UTC)

The WordSesh logoI know what you’re thinking. “Chris. I would love to see you give a conference talk, but I don’t want to leave my bed or have to put pants on.”

Unfortunately for you, I don’t make house calls, so the best I can offer is WordSesh, a totally online/virtual conference taking place this Saturday, December 7th. This is the second WordSesh, and it features an incredible roster of WordPress titans (Matt Mullenweg! Brian Krosgard! Jake Goldman! JJJ!). The conference runs a full 24 hours, and when they had some open slots in their second track I was thrilled to jump on board.

My talk is at 8am Eastern (13:00 UTC), and I’ll be presenting a modified and updated version of the talk I gave at WordCamp Buffalo about how to release your own plugins and themes. The talk focuses on licensing, business models, providing support, and other aspects of developing great add-ons for the WordPress ecosystem. There’s no code involved, so it’s great for people of all skill levels.

Hope to “see” you all there. Follow @WordSesh so you get the latest news, and stay tuned to my Twitter account as well (@ChrisVanPatten)—I’ll be sharing any important updates about my talk.

Sorry I missed it Chris. I did hear your last sentence and a half, and your closing bit on how to reach you. That’s how I got here. ~Alex of
